On Tuesday 26th March, following a site visit by the Planning Committee members the previous day, Ardtaraig Wind Farm went before the committee at a public hearing in the Queens Hall, Dunoon. Council officers, statutory consultees and the general public made presentations alongside Infinergy after which there was an extensive question session and debate among Members. Members thanked those members of the public who presented both in favour of the application and against and ultimately voted in line with Officer recommendation to refuse the project on visual impact grounds, 8 votes to 4.

Infinergy will now review the Council’s comments and determine whether or not to take the project forwards via the Appeals process.
